Welcome fellow Nesters

I would like to thank Mrs. Wilt from The Sparrow's Nest for highlighting me on her blog. I have known Mrs. Wilt since last fall due to my "trip to Holland" (to understand please read my first post.) She is as bubbly, creative and godly as you see on her blog. We have had much fun working on projects together at the church.

I hope all of you enjoy reading my blog. I have enjoyed reading your blog entries, many of which remind me of the times when my own son was a preschooler. I just wish that when he was young and I was in desperate need of fellowship that there had been this type of outlet to "speak" to other stay-at-home moms. You can see both Mrs. Wilt and myself in this picture my husband took while we were preparing to go door-to-door to hang flyers for Vacation Bible School.

Hey Kim!

What a great photo. :o) I totally know what you mean about blogging being an outlet. I feel the same way! I wish that I'd blogged like this earlier, LOL! I used to have a family one where I'd post photos but not really open it up to other people or disclose much about myself. All of these blogs really have blessed me.

Hope that you guys are having a wondeful day...exactly a week 'til Christmas! Yowza!

Awww...Kim...you picked a picture with me in my favorite hat! Thank you! :o)

I am really looking forward to the wisdom I know you can share with all of us moms who are just starting out on the journey of motherhood. You are truly an inspiration to me! :o)

Hi Kim -

I love your blog, and found it through Mrs.Wilt's blog... I'm so excited to find another lady in the 'blogosphere' who thinks like I do, theologically and otherwise. I look forward to your mommy advice (as I just have one little guy who is 4 months old). I poked on over to Rich's blog too...I'm jealous that ya'll live so close to DC! My hubby went to Gettysburg college, and we spent our honeymoon in 2006 at DC and Gettysburg. I miss 'home'!

Merry Christmas, and a happy new year!

I also agree that it is nice to read and talk with other people via blogs. It is hard (at least for me) to find friends locally who enjoy the same things I do, as well as think similarly in regards to family and church. It has been such a blessing to me that I have been able to meet women and mothers that I can learn from and that I look up to.
