David loves to do close up and unusual pictures. It is interesting to see him get just inches away from a fruit or vegetable and then see the results.
The first three are from our local community market.
This last one is from the garden at Mount Vernon. It is funny watching the faces of other tourist as they happily snap away at the house and outer buildings when they spot David taking 10 minutes kneeling in the dirt to get just the shot he wants of a carrot top.

Wow, it's an "all in the family" thing, isn't it? It must be a blast to go site seeing with you all. I would LOVE to visit somewhere none of us has been. Lance is the same way, only with architecture. He studies joints, wood types, patterns in decoration, etc. We recently visited a Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit. We were told the average visitor spent and hour and a half in the exhibit. We spent over three hours there!!!

WOW, I love the carrot top and the bridge photo below. What is amazing to me is that he has the patience to get "the right shot". Plus his good eyes. That has got to be a wonderful camera, as well. I'm certain mine won't take such great close-ups. I'm looking forward to seeing more of the world through his eyes.

Excellent photos, Kim. David has a great eye!
I'm glad you are all enjoying his works of art. Last year we gave him a very nice Fuji camera for Christmas, nice but not over priced at uner $200.00. While this is a lot of money it was his big gift and it is actually on the low side for a good camera. We have been very impressed with the camera. We also are trying to give him a chance to explore future careers.
We would have loved the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit and probably have spent as much time. When we went to the Titanic Exhibit David was so intent on the artifacts and the history he didn't take any pictures.
Yes, he does have a great eye!
Hi Kim,
Wow!! David takes some real great pictures! We just got our son his own digital camera for his 13th birthday and he is also learning to take some great pictures!! I'm not the best photographer, but I did manage to take some pictues of the kids in my class and then my husband made it into a DVD Memory Book for each of them. I was really thrilled with the finished DVD!
Well, How are you doing?? How is your house searching going? Are you moving far away? Will you be able to attend the same church? What about your church kids that you have dinner for on Wednesday nights? Will you still be able to do that?? PLEASE, forgive me if I sound NOSEY but, I've REALLY had you and your family on my heart and I'm praying for you all!! I can't wait to hear what God has planned for you!!
Have a GREAT WEEK!!
Blessings,
Janet
P.S. Has Kelli had her baby yet? I miss reading her lovely blog. I've been praying for her and her family as well!! (I thought she attended the same church as you.)
